Benefits of Massage
Too few people look to massage for relief, but it is becoming more and more of a necessity in today’s ever stressful society. The reasons for getting a massage other than the obvious of feeling great afterwards are:

Will Massage Cure My Host of Issues?
One thing I hear as a massage therapist is, “When will I be better?” or “I want to get back to my active lifestyle.” Although massage can help get you to your end goal, it is not the cure. In fact, the only cure is the work you do when you leave your massage, physiotherapist or other health care professional you are seeing. The work begins and ends with what we do on our own time to better ourselves. It’s a mindset that we need to have, a shift in our lifestyle that implements proper postural exercises, stretches, and overall healthy living which massage can help you find.
As a Registered Massage Therapist I am your facilitator to this end goal. Massage has been around for centuries – human touch in a safe and professional setting can have tremendous effects on how we feel both physically and mentally.
How Often Should You Get a Massage?
Another misconception is that massage is something that is needed on a weekly basis, which isn’t always necessary. For injuries, massage is most of the time needed on an ongoing routinely basis until we feel as a therapist that you are within range of continuing the work on your own, or until we feel we have exhausted all of our options with massage techniques. My goal as a massage therapist is to aid in your rehabilitation, injury prevention and overall physical and mental maintenance. I want to help provide you with some of the tools to guide you to be able to be pro active and transfer those skills into your daily life.

We too often think about ourselves last. We get so busy thinking about our kids, our jobs, the meeting that’s coming up, or the birthday party next weekend.
